Katie’s Bio/Introduction

Katie Goodman is an award-winning comedian, author and international speaker. Katie's work in comedy has amassed over 3 million online views. She can be seen on Showtime, Impractical Jokers, and, more often than she would admit, in line getting a mocha latte with extra, extra whipped cream. Katie literally wrote the book on using improv comedy to improve your life. Her show "Broad Comedy" plays Off Broadway and tours nationally. Her love for self-help and comedy lands her career somewhere in between Tina Fey and Oprah. Her work has been celebrated by Comedy Central, Time Out New York, and her Pilates teacher in Brooklyn who says she is "getting better." Katie holds a degree in Philosophy from the University of Pennsylvania, and was nominated for the MacArthur Genius Grant for her work in theater. She got beat out by the astrophysicist who discovered the multiphase liquid behavior of nuclei, but better luck next time! Katie is an Ambassador for Shelterbox, an international disaster relief organization that provides shelter for displaced people and refugees internationally, as well as the founder and director of Camp Equinox, a Montana-based theater camp that has hosted over 300 kids annually for the past 30 years. With over 20 years of experience with training and speaking, Katie has taught over 40,000 people how to use the tools of improv comedy in their lives to handle absolutely anything, and to be more creative, courageous, and confident. When she's not at home in New York City, Katie can be found traveling the country for speaking events, comedy shows, and corporate workshops and trainings, teaching participants how to thrive at handling anything that comes their way.

Tana’s Bio/Introduction

Tana is an award-winning actor, director, keynote speaker and executive coach. She has been touring the country performing sketch comedy with Katie Goodman for over a decade, and wouldn’t have it any other way. She has a degree in Acting from Paul McCartney’s Institute For Performing Arts in Liverpool, and a Master’s degree in Creative Arts & Mental Health from Queen Mary University of London. (Miraculously, she has retained her American accent, although this achievement becomes significantly less impressive if you put her anywhere near an English pub.) Two years ago, she wrote a one-woman show about her own mental health titled UnTethered, which played in Istanbul, NYC, London, and Edinburgh Fringe, and eventually qualified her as an Arts Council-endorsed Global Talent. When she’s not touring the country delivering keynotes and workshops that support mental wellness through improvisation, embodiment, collaboration and play, she can be found sparring in the Muay Thai gyms of London, saying something like “let’s keep it super light and technical” just seconds before unleashing her injustice-fueled rage on unsuspecting men three times her size. Despite this deeply confusing combination of theatre, mental health, comedy, and recreational violence, Tana considers herself to be a gentle soul, who holds a deep respect for the profound healing power of the theatre.
