Werk-It Sheet #1: Accountability PartnerS
I kind of hate the word Accountability for this because it feels to me like someone is watching over my shoulder. Ack! Back off, man!
So… Help a sister out! Anyone got a better term? Put it here:

Now, onto the “Werk”: The reason to have a partner is NOT just to keep you on track, to feel guilty, to hold someone to it, etc. That can go awry for sure, so let’s look at what really gives us juice:
CONNECTION! A BRAINSTORMING BUDDY! PERSPECTIVE!
These are my 3 top reasons to have a partner in creating your dream career and work. If you already have a partner for this class, great! Keep going! If you don’t, or you’d rather have a partner for your new project/job/career, then let’s roll:
1. Are you kind of an “Alone” type? Do you prefer to work alone? Why?

2. Have you worked with a partner before and what happened? Where did it work? Where did I go wrong (if it did)?

3. Pick one area of your new project that is TOTALLY STALLED OUT. Ugh. Just can’t get movement:

4. Why? You don’t know how to do something? You don’t know what you want to make? You just feel burned out or alone? Write it out here:

5. Who could help you with this? PICK SOMEONE REAL. Doesn’t matter if they are available. We are creating an avatar for our partner. So pick someone like a mentor or friend or partner or employee. Describe what’s helpful/kind/good/fun/empowering about them and how you could help each other:

Check the boxes of what you specifically really want an accountability partner to help you with:
__ Staying on track with a specific goal
__ Brainstorming with you
__ Giving you advice about a certain topic
__ Reflecting back to you what you said you want
__ Good listening skills
__ Someone who is actually a creative partner in your project. (This is different than an accountability partner but this is good too!)
